    The heroine was out of control. Thou she was young and immature her repeated outburst and stubbornness was unappealing. There's no way an eighteen year old girl could speak to royalty as she did...it was UNBELIEVABLE. I loved all the other characters and the storyline. Robert deserved better.

    Not bad for a free read. Not perfect, but a fun story. Vesper04 seems as bitter as the heroine in the beginning of the novel... Pretty sure romance novels aren't meant to be taken that seriously.

    I couldn't get past the first 50 pages. The girl meets the boy. An hour after meeting him she tells him her reason and plan for revenge.Two days after meeting him she sleeps with him. When in real life does this happen?? It's as if the author thinks that the readers are idiots and will accept any storyline thrown at them. There's not even an explanation of why he's at the fair in the first place. He's there, places bets, follows the girl home, and suddenly they start to work together. Just stupid.

    Yep, that should be the title of the book. There is no angel here, lest the original title fool you. The book is full of poor jokes you've heard before, shabbily contrived circumstances and an air of 'fake' that permeates every page. The heroine is a liar, cheat and a fraud, but is a noblewoman. She suddenly comes into money and suddenly develops queenly airs and ambition, being rude to dukes and marquess and earls in the name of being fearless, but you can't get rid of the feeling that she does not belong in a drawing room. The heir to a dukedom falls for her, and the duke himself is very indulgent towards her and her band of thieves, and you are left wondering in what world this happens! She is shown to be the most beautiful, the most regal, the most intelligent, the most authoritative, the most generous, and all this inspite of living like a beggar and a thief her whole life, and you can't shake the feeling that she is stinking up the place! And her aunt is another gold digger, plotting and planning to make her the future duchess! You almost wish them all to fail and go back to being street urchins. Pathetic writing. Really, if you can't identify or even sympathize with your great tragedy queen of a heroine, your entire story is a failure. Big waste of time. It's better to take a walk or even sort laundry than reading this drivel.
